A lorry has crashed into the front of a Sri Lankan restaurant this Tuesday afternoon (5 November) on Northfield Avenue.
The delivery vehicle appears to have veered off the road straight into the front of the premises.
The police say they were called at 2.05pm and that no arrests were made.
Emergency services including London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service attended the scene but there are no reports at this stage of any injuries. We have contacted the restaurant to check staff and customers were not harmed.
Routes E2 and E3 were diverted as the road was blocked in both directions and buses diverted down South Ealing Road and Ealing Green but it has since reopened and the buses are back on their normal route.
The lorry belonged to Salvo 1968 an Italian food specialist. A spokesperson for the company said, "
Firstly, we are most relieved that no member of the public or drivers involved in the incident have been injured, and we are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. We thank the emergency services for their quick response ensuring the safety of the people involved."
