One reviewer described Joe & The Juice, which was founded by a Danish karate champion Kaspar Basse, as 'the next Starbucks' and they say they want to be the 'go-to place for people who are health conscious'.

The menus include coffee, tea, sandwiches, fresh juices, smoothies, and veggie shots made on site. Their sandwiches, mostly on a grilled foccahia type bread include typical fare like turkey, chicken and tuna often with avocado and pesto.

The planning application currently lodged with Hounslow Council planning department is seeking permission for the erection of a first floor rear extension and a mansard roof extension to create an additional residential unit.

It also seeks permission for a basement extension to the shop, along with a new shopfront, new side window, ventilation louvres to rear and pavement lights to frontage.

The layout of the shop would change with windows installed on the Turnham Green Terrace instead of the current flank wall.

Oddbins closed its branch last New Year's Eve after thirty years in Chiswick.
