Realpubs take on The Duke and plan major refurbishment
The Duke on South Parade has been bought by Realpubs who are planning an ambitious renovation project to beginning next year.
Realpubs director Malcolm Heap told Chiswickw4.com "We will be starting a major refurbishment in February 2007 which will involve landscaping both the front and rear beer garden, extending the kitchen to allow us to deliver a quality food menu.
"Whilst retaining all the character of this fantastic building we will also be redecorating and updating lighting both internally and externally. We will also be providing toilet facilities for disabled customers."
Realpubs bill themselves as "contrasting with the branded pubs and high street chains realpubs are what they say they are - pubs with character that offer a friendly service, a good range of drinks accompanied by freshly prepared food of the very highest quality eaten in a restaurant environment or the more informal surrounds of a pub."
