Chefs woes continue as holding company announces £4.3m losses
Gordon Ramsay's Chiswick venture is amongst six of his restaurants that have accumulated a £4.3million loss for the celebrity chef.
According to the company's accounts released today, The Devonshire was the only one of Ramsay's three gastropubs to make a loss however it is expected to break into profit this year according to the holding company.
Plane Food at Heathrow's Terminal Five and made a loss of almost £800,000 however, the biggest single loss was made by Versailles, Ramsay's first restaurant in Paris.
News of The Devonshire's losses follows "an administrative error" which saw the gastropub appear on the listings of a restaurant property website as being 'for sale'.
A spokesperson for Gordon Ramsay Holdings at the time said that the Devonshire Road pub was not for sale and is trading as normal.
The Devonshire was the third of Ramsay’s gastro pubs opened by his right hand man Mark Sargeant.
Speaking about The Devonshire, Chiswick resident Sargeant told ChiswickW4.com, “I know we’re at the wrong end of Devonshire Road, but it’s the end of my road; this is where I live… It’s is a local pub for local people.”
