Believed not to be connected with Chiswick restaurant of same name
A licence application has been submitted on behalf of a company called Vacherin Ltd to take over the cafe at the Barley Mow office centre in Chiswick.
The location was previously operated by the Barley Brunch cafe and there was a very mixed response from tenants at the Workspace PLC owned serviced offices when it was disclosed that the concession would be under new management. It is understood that the new cafe forms part of the company's plans to upgrade the communal area at the centre.
It is believed that Vacherin Ltd is not connected to nearby Le Vacherin Restaurant in Acton Green. We have contacted both Vacherin Ltd and Le Vacherin for clarification but have not yet received a reply.
It is not known whether the new establishment will trade under the Vacherin name. The application has been made on behalf of 'Cafe and Kitchen'. Vacherin Ltd is described on the forms as a 'company specialising in high-end business catering'.
The new licence application includes a request for permission to serve alcohol. The deadline for comments on the application is 29 August.
