Two new restaurants arrive at once to Turnham Green Terrace
Should you pass by the former Fishworks site on Turnham Green Terrace, you will see that work has begun in earnest to create Charlotte's Bistro.
Although the owners do not have a precise opening date in mind they have told ChiswickW4.com they are operating very much on an ‘asap’ basis and hope that illustrated image of the new frontage (shown right) might help satisfy some of our curiosity.
The new Bistro will be the sister restaurant to Ealing Common's Charlotte's Place and will be holding several ‘preview’ days exclusively for those on their mailing list to go and try the restaurant out before they open to the public.
“There will only ever be one Charlotte’s Place, the Bistro is an opportunity to try something a little different."
Whilst we're focusing on eating on Turnham Green Terrace, although it doesn't look like much at the moment, the former Texas Lone Star site is apparently still on track to be steak restaurant Black and Blue.
Amid rumours of other chains including Le Pain Quotidien showing interest in the site, a spokesperson for Black and Blue remained guarded telling ChiswickW4.com, "We can confirm that there aren't plans to open the restaurant imminently but we'll give you an update as soon as we can."
The premises have been empty since November 2005 when Texas Lone Star was closed down overnight. Locals are still mourning the loss of the margaritas and weekend family mayhem.
