A Second Vietnamese Restaurant For Chiswick

Pho set to open in the former Chiswick Cafe premises

A second Vietnamese restaurant is to open on the Chiswick High Road.

A branch of the Pho chain, which has seven branches in London, and one in Brighton and Leeds is going to open on the premises of the former Chiswick Cafe at 134, CHR.

At present work is underway to renovate the building and the company has applied for a license to serve alcohol.

Pho opened in Clerkenwell in June 2005 as London's first Vietnamese street food restaurant. It describes itself as family run, small, informal and serving healthy and authentically prepared Vietnamese food. It also serves takeaway food.

It specialises in the Vietnamese national noodle soup, Pho, as well as coffees served Vietnamese style, beers and fresh juices.

An opening date has yet to be confirmed.

A Vietnamese deli/cafe Ngon opened further along the High Road recently.
