Jackson & Rye To Open In Chiswick

American style restaurant to move into former Union Jacks

The American style restaurant Jackson & Rye has confirmed it will open in the premises recently vacated by Jamie Oliver's Union Jacks.

The new restaurant will open in June. This will be the second London outlet for Jackson & Rye which recently opened in Wardour Street.

A spokesman told ChiswickW4.com: "I can now confirm that we will be opening in Chiswick in June- we are very excited".

The Wardour St branch of the restaurant

Jackson & Rye is from the same stable of restaurants which include Strada, Cote and Bills and takes its inspiration from the cuisine of east coast USA with interiors of dark wood, a large cocktail bar and comfortable banquettes.

The menu will run from breakfast to all-day dining and weekend brunches with menu staples including Burgers, shrimp 'n grits, crab cakes, macaroni cheese and steak and eggs. There will be a large selection of rye whiskey which its website describes as "the true taste of Old America".

"It is the whisky that many of the first cocktails were made with and has risen once more to prominence as the interest in classic cocktails has grown."

The first Jackson &Rye has been well received by the media. One review in Metro described it as " a TGI Friday with attitude", while Hardens said it was an "homage to the American dream" . FT said it was "well priced, well executed" and with "generous portions".
