The Michelin-starred restaurant will no longer offer 'conventional'menu
Chiswick restaurant Hedone which features in the Top 100 Restaurants of the World, is to revamp not only its interior but its food, with some surprises for diners.
The restaurant will not use a conventional menu from next month but will offer its customers a choice of two different chef's tasting menus, one of which will use more exclusive and rare ingredients.
Hedone which was awarded a Michelin Star in its first year of operation, will also remodel the interior. When it reopens it will only serve lunch one day a week, Saturdays, and will serve dinner Tuesday to Saturdays.
The number of covers will also be decreased, from 40 to 18, plus four overlooking the kitchen, to allow Swedish chef owner Mikhail Jonsson to use more complicated, sophisticated techniques, and give them the freedom to change the offer regularly – sometimes only hours before service.
There will also be a 400-strong wine list with a focus on little-known bottles and winemakers.
Hedone has been opened since 2011 and has been very succesful. Mikhail Jonsson is also a consultant to the Antidote wine bar and restaurant in Carnaby Street and his bread sells to top London restaurants including the Bayley & Sage delicatessans in Chiswick, Parson's Green and Wimbledon.
