Meghan Markle and Prince Harry passed through Chiswick this Friday afternoon (18 May) with a police escort, on their way out of London to Windsor.
The royal bride-to-be was spotted by a number of locals as she was seated in the back of a black Range Rover which was preceded by a number of police outriders. As the convoy slowly passed a bus stop outside Wyndham's butchers, people in the queue waved and started texting friends and family to tell them.
It is believed that she was making her way from Kensington Palace, where she had been staying to Windsor Castle in advance of the wedding ceremony.

Ollie Dewis, who was on Chiswick High Road at the time, told Chiswickw4.com that she was alerted by the noise of the convoy and wondered if it could possibly be connected to the Royal Wedding. A few minutes later she was confronted with the sight of the famous couple.
"Meghan was actually smiling out of the window and funnily enough at the same time my neighbour told me she was on the opposite side of the street and said she saw Harry sitting in the car too. Only a few spotted her but a crowd at a local bus stop outside Wyndham’s Butchers were overjoyed to see her and were calling friends and family."
“Chiswick is used to hearing the familiar tune of Police outrider bike ‘Whistles’ as VIPs drive through. I heard the sound way in the distance, but as it’s the day before the royal wedding I wondered if this MAY be the royal couple. So I was pleasantly surprised when the Range Rover drove past and Meghan smiled out of the window!”
It had been announced a few hours earlier by Kensington Palace that Ms Markle had asked the Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the quire of St George’s Chapel. Her father was unable to attend the ceremony after recently having heart surgery. The announcement said that Prince Charles was ‘pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to the Royal Family in this way'.
