David Tennant Attends Chiswick Dog Show As Celebrity Judge
Great turnout of locals and celebrities to the 12th annual show

David Tennant proved he knows a thing or two about dogs when he acted as celebrity judge at this year's Chiswick House Dog Show. The 'Doctor Who' actor chatted with locals, befriended large and small dogs and even judged the fancy dress competition.
This year's show was a 'right royal affair' with the fancy dress competition marking the Queen's 90th birthday. Local 'royalty' turned up in the form of celebrities such as Michael Ball, Ant McPartlin, Rula Lenska, Jeremy Vine and Richard Lintern (Silent Witness), Lisa Armstrong and Diana Weston.
The 12th Chiswick House Dog Show was held as usual on the Cricket Pitch - the annual event is run by volunteers and always attracts a huge crowd, along with local celebrities.
Best in Show was judged by Mr George Nissen CBE, Chair of Chiswick House Friends, together with local vet, James Bennett, and Euan Rollo from sponsors John D Wood & Co. The winner was Amira, owned by Sonia Humphries, while the naughtiest Dog was Missy, owned by Lea Jorgaden. Full results at the end of the page.
Classes ranged from Naughtiest Dog to Prettiest Bitch and from My Dog’s Got Talent to Best Veteran, with every dog welcome – big, small, pedigree, mutt, young and old – the show is a celebration of the canine world. The event raises funds on behalf of Chiswick House Friends to fund projects to maintain and constantly improve the house and its gardens.

The Chiswick House Dog Show is organised entirely by volunteers in association with Chiswick House Friends, to raise money towards the upkeep of Chiswick House Gardens including dog-walking-related facilities, in conjunction with Chiswick House Gardens Trust.
