Advising public not to give cash to Darren Bingham
The police in Chiswick have issued a warning about a persistent beggar who they are advising the public not to give money to and to inform them if approached.
Darren Bingham has been asking for money in the area. Previous warnings have been given about him dating back to 2013. At that time the police described him as a conman who preyed on often vulnerable victims to feed his drug habit despite being placed under an Anti-Social Behaviour Order. He was accused of inventing stories about needing money to help sick relatives.
He was given a five-year antisocial behaviour order in May 2012, banning him from knocking on doors or begging in a public place.
Any suspicious activity can be reported to police on the non-emergency number 101.
This is Darren Bingham. Please continue not to give him money and let us know when he asks you for some! Spread the word and retweet. pic.twitter.com/NzbpDPVHC6
