Dispute involving group of males started outside Luna Cafe
Heavy police presence near scene on Chiswick High Road
A man has been stabbed on Chiswick High Road this Friday morning (21 December) after what appears to have been an altercation involved a number of males.
The victim is believed to be in his twenties and has been rushed to hospital with no information available at this stage on his condition.
The attack took place at around 11.20am near the junction with Acton Lane.
Eye-witnesses report that a fight broke out between a group who were having breakfast outside Luna cafe on the High Road and some others who arrived later. The altercation spread out along the street and there was a lot of shouting and noise. At this point it was believed that a knife was produced. Customers in nearby cafes heard shouting and one man ran out and apparently tried to stop them. He then shouted ‘there’s a knife’
People at the scene told how they shut the door and watched from inside fearing the windows would be smashed or they could run in.
There was a large police presence in the area with the scene cordoned off.
An air ambulance landed on Turnham Green to assist and an NPAS police helicopter was seen circling over the area for some time afterwards.

No arrests have been made at the time of writing.
The incident comes just over a week after a teenager was stabbed in nearby Chiswick Park tube station. No indication has been given that the two attacks are connected.
The West Area Response team say that as part of Operation Wolverine patrols are regularly carried out on Chiswick High Road and that on 20 December a large hunting knife was recovered from a male who was arrested and has been charged to court for the offence.
Cllr Katherine Dunne, Cabinet Member for Communities and Workforce, Hounslow Council, said, “We are working closely with the relevant authorities to understand exactly what happened, and to find out about the condition of the young man, who we hope will make a full recovery.
"Incidents like this are rare in Chiswick, but our priority is to keep everyone safe as they go about their last minute preparations and can enjoy the Christmas break without fear."
