Michael Greco caught doing 110mph on M25
Former Eastenders star and local resident, Michael Greco (pictured right) was banned from driving at Guildford Magistrates after the court heard how he had been travelling at 110mph on the M25.
Traffic police using a laser gun recorded his speeding car on a stretch of the motorway near Bromley in Kent. The incident took place in November of last year. He was stopped late at night and claimed that, as the road was clear, he was unaware of the speed he had been travelling at.
He will now need to use public transport to travel in between his Chiswick home and Woking's New Victoria Theatre where he is appearing in the musical 'Kiss Me Kate' playing a gangster.
The 35 year old actor, is best known for his role as Beppe in Eastenders was banned for 28 days and fined £150 with £35 costs. He told the court that he was scared of using public transport after being beaten up at a taxi rank. He said the lack of a car would also inhibit his ability to carry out work that he does for the children's charity 'Sparks'.
