Missing Man's Car Seen in Brentford
Police investigating disappearance arrest two on suspicion of murder

Police detectives are appealing for the public’s help to find a missing 27-year-old man. One line of enquiry is a sighting of the man's car in the Brentford area on the day of his disappearance.
Mohammed Shah Subhani, known to his family as Shah Khan, was reported missing to police by his family shortly before midnight on Tuesday, 7 May. They stated he had last been by them seen leaving his home address in Heston at around 12.15pm that same day. He was described as wearing navy blue, Puma tracksuit bottoms, a navy blue short sleeved t-shirt and light grey Nike Air Max trainers.
He travelled to High Street, Acton where he was seen at approximately 13.45pm - Mohammed has not been seen since.
Mohammed is Asian, 5ft 9ins tall of stocky build and has a distinctive tattoo on his left forearm with the words inscribed, “Death is certain. Life is not.”
Given the length of time Mohammed has been missing and the increasing concerns for his welfare because of this, detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) have taken on this investigation. They will continue to work with officers from the West Area Command Unit to establish Mohammed’s whereabouts.
Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh of the HMCC, who leads the investigation, said:
“It has now been over 21 days since Mohammed disappeared; a situation that is completely out of character for him.
“This is over 21 days of silence and over 21 days and nights for Mohammed’s family and friends not knowing where he is or what has happened to him. They are all understandably distraught.
“Mohammed loves the gym, his car and he is so family orientated – the worry his disappearance has caused his family must be unimaginable for any parent.
“The longer this goes on, the more concerned we are about Mohammed’s wellbeing although I would stress this is not being investigated as a murder. However, I will use all the resources, skills and tactics available to me to find Mohammed, but I need the support of the public.
“We retain a completely open mind as to why Mohammed has disappeared and finding him safe and well remains our primary focus, but we need to look at every aspect of his lifestyle, including whether any links he had to criminality may have played a part in his disappearance.
“In addition to any sightings of Mohammed, I am appealing directly to criminals and those on the periphery of criminality who may have knowledge of what could have happened to him. Whilst you may not ordinarily engage with the police, there is a young lad who needs to be reunited with his distraught family, just imagine how your mum would feel if you were in this situation?
“Irrespective of the reasons why Mohammed is missing, we need to find him and help ease the anguish his family are suffering.”
Officers have previously issued an image of what is believed to be Mohammed’s car – a white Audi Q3, registration LC67 CXS – which was captured on CCTV travelling south on Hanworth Road, towards Whitton Road, in Hounslow at around 15:17hrs on 7 May.
The car had triggered an ANPR hit a short distance away on the A4, Transport Avenue, in Brentford around ten minutes earlier.
DCI McHugh added:
“We are also still trying to locate Mohammed’s car as this could hold important information about what has happened to him and where he is. It may well have been left parked somewhere and may not have the same registration plates, so I would ask anyone who has seen a white Audi Q3 car parked up over the last couple of weeks to contact us.
"Please do not assume that someone else will make that call. Please call as no matter how insignificant you think the information you have may be, it could prove to be crucial to locating Mohammed.”

Two people have been arrested in connection with this ongoing enquiry.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, 14 May and later bailed to return to a police station on a date in mid-June.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on Saturday, 18 May on suspicion of murder, conspiracy to murder and possession of drugs; he has also been bailed to date in mid-June.
Officers retain an open mind about the investigation and continue to pursue a number of lines of enquiry; at this stage this has not been declared a murder investigation.
