45-year-old Wesam Abdel-Fattah
A 45-year-old man from Richmond has been jailed for 33 months after being found guilty of possession with intent to supply class A drugs
Wesam Abdel-Fattah of Alexandra Road was spotted driving a car in an evasive manner by officers from the West Area’s violence suppression unit team 4 which was conducting proactive patrols in Town Field Way, Isleworth on Tuesday 28 December 2021.
His car was later stopped on Twickenham Road at he was detained for the purpose of a search under the misuse of drugs act and found in possession of over £1900 in cash and 44 wraps of class A drugs that was later identified as cocaine.
He was arrested and taken to Heathrow police station where he was interviewed and later charged and remanded in custody.
The case was heard at Isleworth Crown court on Tuesday 28 January 2022 with Abdel-Fattah pleading guilty.
Inspector Jake Albon-Massey of West Areas violence suppression unit said, “There is an explicit link between drugs supply and violence. Individuals involved in this illicit trade are prepared to use violence as a means of furthering their criminal ambitions. My officers will continue to work tirelessly to ensure these offenders face justice for their actions, I commend the officer in the case on this result and I am pleased that the Court has taken a dim view on this behaviour, as reflected in the sentencing.”
