Mystery Donor Backs Acton Street Art Campaign
£5,000 awarded to crowdfunding campaign from unknown supporter
There's been celebrations and speculation as to who might be the generous benefactor after the Acton Street Art campaign was boosted by £5000.
The 'Acton Unframed' project aims to regenerate the area with 5 large scale murals. Jamal Edwards MBE, will feature on one of the murals by Matt Small and local creative talent will be given the chance to collaborate on some of the work.
The London Mayor kickstarted the campaign awarding it £15,000, and there are now 174 backers (including Ealing Council) who have pledged £43,732 so far ( 31/07) with a one off anonymous donation of £5,000 which was added last week.
Rumours
locally are that it could be a famous actor or musician but whoever it is wishes to keep themselves to themselves, however, organisers would nevertheless like to thank them and everyone who has contributed so far.
Supporters such as Stuart Ladds have welcomed the proposals and are urging others join too, he writes,

The funding goal is £53,493 and with just less than two weeks to go it is now 82% funded. Organisers now have until 12 August to reach the funding goal to turn the idea into a reality.
