Man Charged with Murder After Body Found in Fulham Flat

A 50-year-old man has been charged with murder after a dead body was discovered in a Fulham flat.

Concerns had been raised for the welfare of Stephen Wallis, who was also aged fifty, prompting police officers to force entry into his flat in Barclay Close at 4pm on Tuesday 15 February.

. He was found inside and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

On Sunday, 20 February, Gary Curran of no fixed abode, was charged with murder having been arrested the previous day.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Monday, 21 February.

Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said, “We are still very keen to build a further picture of Stephen’s life and his movements before his death.

“We would like to speak to anyone who knew him, especially if they saw him in the days and weeks before he was killed.

“We understand that coming forward with information can be daunting. Our officers are here to support you and I would urge anyone who knows anything to get in touch.”
